I’m an independent filmmaker and cinematographer with over 20 years behind the camera. My work spans documentary, commercial, and narrative film — shot on location across the US and internationally, from Oregon’s backcountry to India.

I’m equally at home on a five-day location shoot, in the edit suite, or early in the process helping a client figure out what story they actually need to tell. I work lean as a solo operator or scale up with trusted collaborators when the project calls for it.

Frequently Asked Questions

How long have you been doing this?

I began my career when I got my first job shooting weddings in high school back in 1997. Since then I’ve shot feature-length documentaries, narrative films, commercials, music videos, events, you name it.

Do you own your own equipment?

Yes, I have multiple cameras, lights and audio equipment. I’m well equipped for multi-camera shoots, high quality audio capture and professional lighting setups. If you want to know what equipment will suit your project best, let’s talk.

Do you travel for shoots?

Yes, I travel a lot in this line of work. I’ve shot all over the continental United States and in a dozen countries around the world. I have travel-friendly gear to stay mobile and efficient on the road.

Do you work alone, or do you bring a crew?

For most projects I work alone, however I am able to gather a crew when needed.

Can you handle a project start to finish?

I can help you with concept, shoot, and edit for your project from start to finish. If you need me to handle just one part of your production, let’s talk.

Are you available for drone camera hire?

Yes, I am a commercial-ready FAA certified remote pilot operator.

What formats and resolutions do you offer?

I primarily shoot in 5K RAW digital format in a 4:3 aspect ratio, which is convenient for cropping to either horizontal or vertical formats. I also offer 8mm film scanned to digital for a creative vintage look.

Are you available to hire for photography as well?

The majority of the work I do on a regular basis is video production, but my second love is photography. If you’re in need of a photographer, or would also like to get some shots while on our film shoot, let’s talk.
